QUEEN Esther’s Purim: A Rock Opera Featuring the Music of Queen

Join us for a rockin’ Purim celebration including a brief megillah reading, an amazing Purim shpiel and a festive Purim-themed dessert.

To fulfill the Purim mitzvah of matanot le’vyonim (the obligation to give gifts to those in need) please bring donations of non-perishable proteins (peanut butter, canned chili, hearty soups, etc.) to be donated to the Harvey Kornblum Food Pantry.

10:30 a.m. – 11 a.m. Join Rey, Finn, Luke, Leah and the Purim Band as we battle the evil Kylo-Hamen in a spirited morning of celebration, featuring music and family fun for all ages. Special recognition for children and adults who come in costume!

Purim Carnival

Sunday, February 25

11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Purim Carnival games open! Purchase a wristband in the Temple office or online here for unlimited access to games. If you buy yours between February 4th and 23rd, the cost in $13. They will be available for $15 on the day of the carnival.

  • The return of JACOB’S LADDER in the Kehillah Center
  • Balloon animals, face painting and fun games for all ages
  • PRIZE STATION: Every child can visit the prize station as they leave the carnival

Help With Purim Carnival

Participate in the Four Mitzvot of Purim:

  1. SHALACH MANOT GIFTS OF FOOD – Deliver a bag of goodies to a home-bound congregant. Grab a bag made by our Caring Committee on your way out of the Purim Carnival.
  2. MATANOT L’EVYONIM GIFTS TO THOSE IN NEED – Bring non-perishable proteins (peanut butter, canned chili, hearty soups, etc.) to be donated to the Harvey Kornblum Food Pantry. Bring these either to the Carnival on the 25th  or the Shpiel on 28th.
  3. SEUDAT PURIM ENJOY A FESTIVE MEAL – At the Purim Carnival, eat lunch catered by MOSHE.
  4. MIKRA MEGILLAH HEAR THE MEGILLAH – Megillah reading on Wednesday, February 28th at 7 p.m. at QUEEN Esther’s Purim: A Rock Opera Featuring the Music of Queen.
