Rosh Hashanah Day Schedule 

9 a.m. Boker Tov Children’s Service (Kehillah Center)

An interactive service and skit appropriate for families with children in 2nd grade and younger. After the service, children are invited to participate in childcare or our High Holiday Experience for preK – 5th grade while their families take part in morning worship services.

9:30 a.m. Childcare Opens for Ages 6 weeks to 3 years (Preschool Hallway)

Congregation Shaare Emeth is happy to provide your family childcare services during the High Holidays. For children ages 6 weeks to 3 years we offer babysitting staffed by thoughtful caretakers that are committed to creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment. The cost is $10 per child, per service. Register Here. To ensure appropriate staffing, the deadline to register for Rosh Hashanah childcare is Monday, September 23. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate walk-ins.

10 a.m. Rosh Hashanah High Holiday Experience Opens (Religious School Hallway) 

An informal learning and prayer experience for children, ages PreK – 5th grade. Participation is free, but registration is required. Please register HERE by Wednesday, September 25 at 5 p.m.

10:30 a.m. Rosh Hashanah Service (Stiffman Sanctuary)

Usher in the New Year in a meaningful and beautiful way as we participate and worship with our clergy, familiar High Holiday liturgy, congregational choir, and musicians. Rabbi Jim Bennett will speak. Ideal for adults and children grades 6 and older.

ASL interpreted. Mishkan HaNefesh books provided.

 10:30 a.m. Rosh Hashanah Service (Kehillah Center) 

Celebrate the New Year with a contemporary and participatory service, appropriate for all ages. The service will be led by Rabbi Andrea Goldstein and Lucy Greenbaum, Shaare Emeth Music and Youth Engagement Coordinator.

Mishkan HaNefesh prayer books will be provided.

4 p.m. Tashlich Service (Creve Coeur Park) 

All are invited to join in the beautiful ritual of “Tashlich,” which means “casting off,” involving going to a body of water and symbolically casting away our sins. We will perform this meaningful act together as a congregational community at the Tremayne Shelter, located inside Sailboat Cove at 13725 Marine Ave, Maryland Heights, MO 63043.

Parking

Onsite Parking – Parking in the Temple parking lot is always first-come, first-served. Arrive early if you wish to assure yourself a spot in the Temple parking lot. Parking is not permitted in the grass or driveways of the Temple grounds, except when directed by the Traffic Committee. Once the Shaare Emeth lots are filled, you will be redirected to offsite parking.

Offsite Parking and Shuttle Buses – Shuttle buses will run before and after services between the Ladue entrance to the Temple and offsite parking. This year, for Rosh Hashanah, offsite parking will be located at:

Elks Club at 12481 Ladue Road
Shuttles run between Shaare Emeth and offsite parking from 8 a.m. through the conclusion of the morning service.
