The New Mt. Sinai Cemetery offers its annual Yizkor Service on Sunday, October 6th at 11:00 a.m. in the cemetery’s Community Mausoleum. An important and treasured part of the High Holidays is remembering those who have come before us through this Yizkor service. The service is free and open to the community.
This hour-long service of remembrance is meditative and prayerful providing comfort and solace. Led by clergy of the member congregations and musicians from the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra and others, the service is both reflective and comforting. It is a beautiful way to transition from Rosh Hashanah to Yom Kippur and remember those whose shoulders on which we stand. The names of all those who have been interred at New Mount Sinai since last Yom Kippur will be listed in the program. Your loved ones will be honored during the service, and a silent prayer offered in their memory.
