7th Grade Program: Finding Personal Meaning in Jewish Tradition
Our 7th grade program meets only on midweek days, twice a month, and families may still choose between Tuesday or Wednesday.
Our 7th graders are at a critical moment of transition, taking on the responsibility of becoming bar or bat mitzvah, and developmentally are questioning who they are and who they want to be in the world. Our program strives to honor where they are by asking big Jewish questions and engaging learners in a dialogue about what it means to them to be a Jew in the world. They also have regular opportunities to work with younger students in our Religious School as role models and develop their own budding leadership skills. Learners also have the opportunity to be together with their peers and deepen their relationships to one another.
