During this month when we celebrate Shabbat Shira (the Sabbat of Song) we will also be exploring music’s profound effect on us. Join Cantor Warner to learn about the science of music and emotion, to listen to different genres of music and to experience how music allows us to connect more deeply to one another and to our spiritual selves.

Join with musician and educator Eliana Light and Rabbi Bennett in a creative exploration of what we each believe, think and feel about our relationships with God, faith and more.

This two-week miniseries explores the teachings of novelist, essayist and poet James Baldwin and how his opinions and perspectives remain relevant to our Jewish community today.
Sponsored by Shaare Emeth’s Racial Equity and Inclusion Committee, this program will be facilitated by Dr. Ellie DesPrez and Dr. Holly Bernstein. While the program is free, registration is required. Once registered you will receive copies of the readings and links to be able to watch the movie before the discussion on January 21st.

Tu B’Shevat celebrates not only the New Year of the trees, but allows us to turn our attention and action towards our environment. Composting is a great way to care for the environment in the comfort of our own homes and is not as difficult as you might imagine.
