The picnic is just the beginning of our 150th celebration. Through various upcoming events, we will bring our history to life and showcase our exciting new building renovations. This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to be a part of a unique celebration, reinforcing all that Shaare Emeth means to our Congregation and our community.
Want to be a part of our Congregational photo? A drone photographer is coming at exactly 11:45 a.m. to take a large group photo of everyone. Don’t forget to wave!
Parking at Congregation Shaare Emeth will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, with spots reserved for handicap accessible use. Offsite parking will be available at De Smet Jesuit High School, 233 N New Ballas Rd, with shuttles running to and from Shaare Emeth.
As part of our celebration, please consider bringing any of the following supplies to donate to Oak Hill Elementary. Oak Hill is a south city school in an immigrant community where volunteers from Shaare Emeth are beginning their fourth year helping in the classrooms.
At the picnic on Sunday, take a few minutes to record your story! You’ll get a ride in our Shaare Shuttle from the picnic area to the main building, where a volunteer will audio record with you. Not able to make it to the picnic? Don’t worry! We still want to hear from you. Email Kim Oswalt at [email protected] for more information.
Special thanks to 150th Picnic Celebration Committee: Irl and Jennifer Scissors (Chairs), Lee and Mark Scissors (Honorary Chairs), Shawn Rimerman, Joe and Stacy Gerchen, and Jean Millner
