Sign up to provide holiday gifts for one of 22 children from Oak Hill Elementary School in South St. Louis. Our Congregation has been volunteering and supporting the school for the last five years. The children asked for clothing and toys. Please bring unwrapped gifts to Temple marked with the child’s name and “Oak Hill Holiday Gifts” by December 8, 2017.
Join us on December 14, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. at Shaare Emeth to wrap gifts for the children. We will light the Chanukah menorah as well. RSVP to Lorry Blath at [email protected]if you can help wrap.
We will join together with Parkway United Church of Christ to support two needy families from the International Institute of St. Louis this year. Sign up form coming soon.
The Jewish and Muslim Day of Community Service mobilizes members of the Jewish and Muslim communities, as well as those of other backgrounds and faiths, to volunteer at over 20 community service sites in the St. Louis region, allowing Christians at these agencies to spend the holiday with loved ones. This event builds ties among people of different backgrounds and faiths. It also emphasizes the importance of helping others and giving back during the holiday season.
