As we get older, more and more of us will be touched by Alzheimer’s Disease or other forms of dementia either directly, as a family member or as a care giver. All over the world, including here in St. Louis, work is being done to find ways of preventing or curing Alzheimer’s.

Register Here.

Please join Team Shaare Emeth as we Walk to End Alzheimer’s on the morning of Saturday, September 16.   The opening ceremony is at 9:30 a.m., and we will begin walking at about 10:00 a.m.  The route is an easy one on level downtown streets, starting and ending at the Scottrade Center.

Registration is free, but donations are encouraged.

If you have any questions, please contact our team co-captains, Jerri and Bill Livingston at Klutzy1019@sbcglobal.net (Jerri) or paperbox@sbcglobal.net (Bill). You can also call Debbie Bram at DBram@sestl.org or 314-692-5308.

Bill Livingston wrote the following about why he decided to be a co-captain for this event:

I Walk to End Alzheimer’s Disease…

  • Because my father died from Alzheimer’s related causes.
  • Because we believe his mother also had Alzheimer’s.
  • In the hope that this generational link will be broken.
  • To raise funds to provide support and information to those living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia and to their care givers.
  • Because I believe that someday there will be ways to prevent and cure Alzheimer’s disease.
  • To raise funds to support research to prevent and cure Alzheimer’s disease.
