Rabbi Cantor Alison Wissot
Temple Judea

Rabbi Cantor Alison Wissot brings years of musical excellence to this concert. As a professional cabaret and Broadway performer, Wissot’s voice and persona exude beauty, warmth and connection. Her musicality and professionalism in the cantorate is unmatched. She has earned cantorial and rabbinic ordination from the Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion. She is a regular collaborator in the Los Angeles area on musical and religious projects and is a mentor to many cantors and singers.

Cantor Seth Warner
Congregation Shaare Emeth

Cantor Warner is in his 12th year as Shaare Emeth’s cantor. He is highly regarded in the cantorate as a gifted singer, teacher and mentor. Warner’s voice and personality invite openness, prayer and authenticity. He works closely with his rabbinic colleagues to craft prayerful and musical experiences that inspire, teach and comfort the Congregation. He has produced concerts and musical events throughout the community, including a tribute in memory of Debbie Friedman.

Student Cantor Daniel Geigerman
Debbie Friedman School of Sacred Music at HUC-JIR

Daniel Geigerman is in his third year of the Debbie Friedman School of Sacred Music at the Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion in New York. He grew up at Shaare Emeth and is an important part of the musical landscape of the Congregation.

Pianist Al Fischer
previously of Gateway Men’s Chorus, Congregation Shaare Emeth

Al Fischer moved to Yakima, Washington, nearly three years ago after a successful career with the Gateway Men’s Chorus as Artistic Director as well as other prominent musical positions in St. Louis. Al is a certified music teacher, a superb musical collaborator and a dear friend of the Congregation, having served as one of the accompanists and collaborators for many years.

 

Reception following the concert

Rabbi Emeritus Jeffrey B. Stiffman will be available to sign copies of his book, Congregation Shaare Emeth at 150. Copies will also be available for purchase.

Tickets are available online using the order form below or by calling the Shaare Emeth office at 314-569-0010. A portion of the proceeds will help fund music education at Oak Hill Elementary School, part of the St. Louis Public Schools.
