One of our most cherished High Holiday traditions is our beautiful Book of Memory, distributed each year during the Yizkor Memorial Service on Yom Kippur afternoon. During this service, the names of Shaare Emeth members who have passed away during the last year are read from the pulpit. Our Book of Memory is a beautiful record of the names of our recently deceased loved ones as well as the names of other family and friends whom we wish to recall with loving memory.
Memorializing our loved ones in the Book of Memory is a significant way to honor their memories. This year, Rosh Hashanah begins the evening of September 9 and Yom Kippur begins the evening of September 18. The 2018 Book of Memory will go to press during the summer, so your immediate response is critical.
If you would like to participate, please return your submission with your voluntary contribution by Friday, July 6, 2018.
We are happy to announce that this year, for the first time, the names of your loved ones can be submitted online. Submitting these names online will help us ensure that they are printed in our memorial book accurately per your wishes. To submit online, visit www.sestl.org/login and log in using the login ID and password listed in the box on this letter. More information is included on the enclosure.
Only through your voluntary and generous contribution is the publication of the Book of Memory made possible. May your generosity on your loved ones’ behalf bring you a measure of satisfaction in knowing that their good works will be carried on through the many activities of Congregation Shaare Emeth. May your summer be filled with rest and fulfillment.
